Overview

We are a biomedical research laboratory at Washington University School of Medicine under the direction of Tom Ellenberger. We are investigating the molecular structures and cellular functions of proteins that replicate DNA, repair chemical damage, and regulate chromatin structure. These enzymes and regulatory proteins are the "guardians of the genome," ensuring the faithful transmission of our genetic blueprint to future generations. Please see our Research Page and our Publications to learn more.
